Revised Draft Standard for the Importation of Coco Peat and Coir Fibre Products

As part of the consultative process in the development of the import health standard for the importation into New Zealand of Coco Peat and Coir Fibre Products, MAFBNZ has distributed the following draft document(s) for public consultation and comment:

Changes to the draft IHS include the extension of the glasshouse option until May 2009 and a questionnaire appendix to accompany import permit applications.

We invite further submissions on these documents. These should be forwarded to MAFBNZ by close of business on 2 July 2008. Depending on the results of this additional consultation period, it is anticipated that the IHS will be issued as soon as possible after this period.
