Draft IHS for turkey meat preparations from the European Union
This draft import health standard (IHS) is an amendment to the draft standard for turkey meat and meat products from the United Kingdom, consulted on in 2006.
The products eligible for import in the standard has been revised to align with the Import Risk Analysis (IRA) 1999 and the country scope has been expanded to include member countries of the European Union. The IHS recognises Annex V of European Union/New Zealand Veterinary Agreement.
A new risk analysis for turkey meat from all countries is currently being progressed, after which the standard will be amended again.
