MAFBNZ Strategic Plan

This Strategic Plan provides the overarching direction under which our supporting actions, Annual Business Plan and Operational and Directorate work plans align and detail the work that will be undertaken. This planning alignment will enable Directorates, teams and individuals to have a “line of sight” of how their efforts directly influence the achievement of our strategic goals.

Our partner agencies, and key stakeholders, including Maori and the general public, will be able to use this strategy to understand New Zealand’s biosecurity future direction and priorities. They will be able to align their strategies accordingly. This Strategic Plan will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure it addresses our future needs and the priorities contained in the Biosecurity Strategy for New Zealand.
