Forestry Export Phytosanitary Standards
Export Phytosanitary Standards are quarantine requirements set out by importing countries which must be met before they will accept forest produce.
They include details on such items as:
- Sawn Timber
- Preservatives for Treating Timber
- Low Risk Wooden Articles
- Board Products
- Preservative Treatments for Board Products
- Logs
- Wood Chips
- Wood Packaging
- General Conditions and Treatments
While wood packaging and dunnage is mentioned in some standards, a separate international standard called ISPM 15 - Wood Packaging Material Certification Scheme is now in effect for some countries.
