Forest Products Export Standards - Phytosanitary Requirements of Fiji

Logs must be fumigated within 24 hours of being loaded into the ships hold. Logs loaded on deck must be fumigated on wharf prior to loading, and loaded onto the vessel with 24 hours of bring fumigated.
Antisapstain treatments Import permit may specify that logs are treated with a fungicide that is approved for use in New Zealand.
Insecticide treatments Import permit may specify that logs are treated with an insecticide approved for use in New Zealand.

Copper Chrome Arsenic 3.5kg/m3 minimum preservative retention

Sawn timber shipped in a green or moist condition should be pre-dipped in an effective fungicidal/insecticidal solution and/or shipped filleted to allow free air movement.
