Pre-Shipment Inspections Verification inspection required.
Approved Pre-Shipment Treatments shall be shipped in sealed containers or in such a way so as to prevent re-infestation and the product shall be produced exclusively from wood which was stripped of its bark; or
Fumigation have been fumigated shipboard or in a container prior to shipment; or
Antisapstain treatments  
Insecticide treatments  
Heat treatments produced exclusively from wood which has undergone kiln drying to below 20% moisture content.
Preservative treatments  
Concessional Release None specified for New Zealand.
General Wood chips or shavings obtained from Acer saccharum, Castanea spp., Platanus spp., Populus spp., Quercus spp. (originating in non European countries) or from any Conifers (originating from any non European country other than Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the USA) require a phytosanitary certificate and must meet the above conditions.
