Arriving by Air

Most visitors to New Zealand arrive by commercial air travel.

This section sets out what travellers should be aware of before leaving for New Zealand, as well as advice on what not to pack, and what Biosecurity measures they can expect to encounter on arriving here.

A theme for those arriving for a visit is - if in doubt, declare it.( See Declare It brochure(pdf) (243 Kb) and also What you cannot bring).  Penalties may apply if you break the law. Certain items are considered Risk Goods and are listed under Restricted Items.
