Inbound Messaging
The Inbound Messaging system enables the application for a Biosecurity Authorisation Clearance Certificate (BACC) to be undertaken electronically for the clearance of imported goods. An eBACCa is completed and sent to MPI via ECN (The Electronic Commerce Network Group) through Inbound Messaging. The application is risk assessed for Biosecurity purposes and a BACC is issued. The BACC is returned to whoever is designated on the eBACCa, allowing the goods to be moved. Greater detail on the whole of the Inbound Messaging system and links to the relative system specifications, are available in the Frequently Asked Questions about Inbound Messaging
The Project Newsletters were distributed on a regular basis to all stakeholders and MPI staff.
