Phytosanitary Import Permits
Phytosanitary import permits state the phytosanitary requirements for importation
Phytosanitary import permits are required for the following commodities:
- Some genera of fresh fruit and vegetables
- Nursery stock
- Seeds for sowing, consumption and processing
- Growing media and packing materials
- Miscellaneous items
Phytosanitary import permits are not required for:
- Dried fruit and vegetables
- Frozen fruit and vegetables
- Fresh cut flowers and foliage
- Dried cut flowers and foliage
- Dried grains and flours
Phytosanitary import permits may be requested from the New Caledonia Agriculture Service:

2.2.5 Please note conditions of import or additional declarations identified upon phytosanitary import permits received from New Caledonia may differ from those identified within this standard. Conditions of import identified herein are accurate at the time of this standards publication. Where import conditions identified upon an import permit differ from that identified within this standard, the permit conditions take precedence.

Phytosanitary Certificates
Phytosanitary certificates are required to accompany consignments of:
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- Fresh cut flowers and foliage
- Nursery stock
- Seed for sowing, consumption and processing
- Miscellaneous items
Phytosanitary certificates are not required to accompany consignments of:
- Dried fruit and vegetables
- Frozen fruit and vegetables
- Dried cut flowers and foliage
The phytosanitary certificate that accompanies the consignment, must be either the original or a certified copy.
Phytosanitary certificates must be issued no more than 14 days prior to shipment.

Re-exported Products
Consignments of plants and plant products not of New Zealand origin which are 're-exported to New Caledonia must be accompanied by:
- the original phytosanitary certificate (or a certified copy) issued by the country of origin
And
- a phytosanitary certificate (re-export certificate) issued by the New Zealand Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry no more than 14 days prior to export
