The standards exist in order to mitigate the risks associated with bringing risk items into New Zealand.
Importing of propagable plant material and non-propagable plant products require various forms.
If you are travelling to New Zealand and want to bring edible plant products, such as dried seeds, nuts, or fruit, please consult What You Must Declare.
The fee for processing a permit application is $NZ166.62 (GST inclusive). Options for payment are included on the permit application form.
Any other fees applying to the importation of plants and forest products are set out in the Biosecurity (Costs) Regulations 2010 (68 KB)
