Draft Import Health Standard for Frozen Canine Semen from Specified Countries

One import health standard has been developed for frozen canine semen from all countries from which we allow the importation of live dogs.

This standard will replace the import health standards for dog semen from Norway, Sweden, Hawaii, United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland and dog semen from Belgium, Denmark, Hungary, the Netherlands, Canada, USA, and South Africa.

Australia is not included as it has and will continue to have its own import health standard.

Submissions on the draft IHS should be forwarded to MAF by close of business on Thursday 11 October 2007. MAF encourages respondents to forward comments electronically to the email address below.
